Once upon a time there was a woman who was all about helping other people, so she became a teacher and then a school career counselor. She realized she could better serve others in her little piece of the world if she was on her own. As a result, she built a couple of startups focused on workforce development and helping young people find their way.
Sadly her mission to change the world wasn’t working out because it was ridiculously hard to get education and business decision makers on board. Bureaucracy is such a killjoy.
Anyway, while she was fighting the good fight to make things happen in the world of workforce development she built WordPress websites for her own businesses and helped friends and family with design and marketing copy for theirs.
Building websites was fun, rewarding, and challenging. On top of that people loved what she created. She realized this was was what she meant to do.
Having been a small business owner she knew the struggle when it came to hiring skilled and talented professionals when your resources are slim.
That being said, she realized she could continue her mission to help people, but this time focusing on people working hard toward living the dream of business ownership, or starting – continuing their journey in life. The goal was to help people with limited financial resources to have a beautiful and functional web presence that they’d be proud of. Needless to say, Artisanal Web Design was born.
